Install the chat on your website
Paste one line into your website and check it's working.
Steps
- Open Console → Get started and find Install it on your website.
- Select Copy snippet.
- Choose your platform (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or other) to see exactly where to paste it, then publish your website.
- Back in Mr C, select Check installation.
If someone else looks after your website, enter their email under Email them these instructions. They get the snippet and the steps for every platform.
What happens next
A chat button appears in the corner of your website. The check confirms the snippet is on your home page with the right site key, and that also verifies your website if it wasn't already, so you don't need DNS records or meta tags.
Troubleshooting
| If you see | Do this |

| "We couldn't find the snippet" | Publish your website after pasting, and make sure it's on the home page. |
| "a different site key" | Copy the snippet again from Get started. |
| The button doesn't appear | Select Check installation first. For other addresses (such as without www), verify them. |
