Check your assistant's answers

Keep a list of key questions and test that the answers stay correct.

Who can do this: Owners, admins and editorsConsoleAnswer quality

Steps

  1. Open Console → Answer quality.
  2. Under Add a test question, enter a question and what the answer must include, for example How much is a weekend call-out? → $187. Optionally add the page it should cite, phrases it must never say, and the expected answer type.
  3. Select Run tests. Results appear in about a minute.

Reading the results

Each question shows passed or failed, the answer given, and what was missing. Facts match regardless of capitals, spacing or thousands separators, and an answer that says the same thing in other words (for example seven days for 7 days) also counts.

Your tests protect your answers

When Mr C re-reads your website and would publish the new version automatically, it first asks your test questions (up to 25, newest first) against the new content. If a question that answers correctly today would stop answering correctly, the new version is held for review instead of going live, and the Knowledge page lists the questions affected. Check those answers, then either fix your website or select Publish anyway and give a reason.

Tips

  • Add 10–20 questions: prices, service areas, hours, and a few questions you deliberately don't answer.
  • Run the tests after changing your website or knowledge.
  • Publishing an FAQ adds its question automatically.
