Using Mr C

Mr C answers questions using only the content a business has explicitly approved: its website pages, PDFs and FAQs. By setting up Mr C, you confirm that you own that content, or have the right to approve it, for indexing and use in this way, and that you control every website you verify for Mr C (by a DNS record, a meta tag or by installing its snippet).

Plans and fees

Paid plans are charged monthly at the prices shown on our pricing page or in your order. All prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST, which is added to invoices for Australian customers. Each plan includes a monthly number of conversations; conversations above that allowance are charged at your plan’s additional-conversation rate. Previews, test chats, installation checks and failed answers are not counted. Setup services are one-off fees charged when ordered.

Spending limit

Each plan has a monthly limit on additional conversations, shown on the pricing page, so that a bill can’t exceed twice the plan price unless you ask us to raise the limit. You can also ask us to lower it. When the limit is reached, Mr C pauses answers for the rest of the month while still accepting enquiries, until the limit is raised or you change plan.

Invoices and payment

• The billing period is the calendar month (Australia/Sydney time).
• Invoices are issued on the 1st day of each month and are due 7 calendar days after the invoice date.
• Each invoice charges the plan fee for the new month in advance, plus any additional conversations from the previous month.
• If you start part-way through a month, your first invoice is issued when you subscribe, covers the rest of that month (and any setup services), and is due 7 calendar days later.
• If you have saved a card or direct debit, it is charged automatically when the invoice is issued. Otherwise, pay by the due date using the invoice link or bank transfer.

Late payment

If an invoice is not paid by its due date, we will send reminders and show a notice in your account. If it remains unpaid 14 days after the due date, Mr C pauses answers on your websites; enquiry forms, your inbox and your data remain available. If it remains unpaid 30 days after the due date, we may suspend your account. Paying the overdue amount restores the service.

Refunds

Fees are paid in advance and are not refundable, in whole or in part, including after cancellation, a plan downgrade, or suspension for non-payment, except where a refund is required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Plan changes

Upgrades take effect immediately; the prorated difference for the current month is added to your next invoice. Downgrades take effect from the start of the next month.

Free trial

A free trial lasts 7 days or 100 conversations, whichever comes first, and needs no payment details. When it ends, answers pause until you choose a plan. One trial is available per business and website.

Cancellation

You can cancel a paid plan by giving at least one month’s notice, in your account or in writing to us. Notice given at any time during a calendar month takes effect at the end of the following calendar month. For example, notice given on 15 October ends your plan on 30 November, and the invoice issued on 1 November remains payable. The service continues as normal until the end date. A final invoice issued after the end date covers only any additional conversations from your last month. Removing the Mr C script from your website does not cancel your plan.

Enquiries you receive

Visitors’ enquiries are sent to you so you can reply to them. You’re responsible for how you use and keep those details once you have them, in line with the privacy law that applies to your business.

Setup help

If you ask us to help set up Mr C, you authorise IOVector staff to access your account and make the settings changes needed. Any fee for setup services is agreed with you before we start.

Acceptable use

• Only add websites and content you’re authorised to approve.
• Don’t use Mr C to index or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
• Don’t attempt to bypass session, origin, or rate limits, or use the service to disrupt other tenants.

Intellectual property

The Mr C software, branding, and underlying technology are owned by IOVector Pty Ltd. Approved website content you provide remains yours. We index and serve it back through the widget solely to answer your visitors’ questions, and claim no ownership over it.

Service availability

Mr C is under active development. We aim for reliable service but don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features, configuration options, or underlying model providers may change as the product develops.

Liability

Mr C generates answers from approved content but, like any AI system, can still be wrong. It’s provided without warranties of any kind, and to the extent permitted by law, IOVector Pty Ltd is not liable for decisions made based on its responses.

Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to Mr C for a website that breaches these terms, including without prior notice where needed to protect the service or other tenants. Paid plans end as described under Cancellation above. For 30 days after your plan ends, owners and admins can export enquiries from the console, and we’ll provide other data on request; approved content and configuration can be deleted on request. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Mr C’s features change. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “Last updated” date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
