Privacy Policy
This page explains what Mr C actually collects and does with data, specific to this product. It does not cover IOVector’s corporate website, which has its own privacy policy.
Last updated: 11 August 2026.
What Mr C collects
- Chat messages. When a visitor asks Mr C a question, that message is sent to our servers to generate a response, and to the AI model provider configured for that website to produce the answer. Mr C does not currently store chat conversations after the response is delivered.
- Page context. The current page’s URL, title, and description may be sent along with a question, to help Mr C understand what page the visitor is asking from. This is used only to inform that response and is not stored separately from the chat message it accompanied.
- Approved website content. When a business sets up Mr C, they choose website pages for it to read and index. That content is stored so Mr C can answer questions from it, and is only ever used to answer questions for that business’s own website.
- Session tokens. Opening the chat widget issues a short-lived, signed session token bound to the website’s origin. It expires automatically and is not linked to any personal identity.
What Mr C does not do
- It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- It does not sell visitor data to anyone.
- It does not use one business’s approved content or conversations to answer another business’s visitors.
Third parties
To generate an answer, the visitor’s question and any relevant approved content are sent to the AI model provider configured for that website, currently Groq, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or DeepSeek, depending on which the business has selected. These providers process the request to return a response and are bound by their own respective terms.
Data retention
Approved website content and tenant configuration are retained so the business using Mr C can rely on and use them. We do not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule to this stored content. If a business wants specific content or configuration reviewed or deleted, we action that manually on request. See “Your rights” below.
Your rights
If you’re a website visitor and want to know what a business’s Mr C assistant has indexed, or if you’re a business using Mr C and want approved content or configuration corrected or removed, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll action it directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Mr C’s features change. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “Last updated” date above.
This policy describes Mr C’s actual current data handling and is intended to be accurate, but it is a working draft rather than a substitute for independent legal review. If you’re relying on it for a commercial engagement, please have it reviewed by your own legal counsel first.
