What counts as an emergency

• Burst or leaking pipes you can't turn off
• Sewage overflowing inside or from your gully
• Gas leaks (call 132 771 first, then us)
• No water to the property
• Hot water system leaking
• No hot water in a home with young children, elderly or unwell people

What to do right now

• Burst pipe: turn off the water at the meter (usually at the front boundary, under a small lid) by turning the valve clockwise.
• Overflowing toilet: turn off the stop tap behind or under the toilet.
• Hot water leak: turn off the cold water inlet valve at the unit.
• Gas smell: leave the building and call 132 771.

Emergency rates

After-hours call-out is $249 (weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons) and $349 overnight, on Sundays and on public holidays, including the first 30 minutes on site. See prices.
